Why we built this, and what we stand for.
The problem we're solving
Most Indian financial calculator sites are slow, cluttered with ads, filled with outdated tax slabs, and built for desktop users from 2010. You search "salary calculator", land on a page with pop-ups, wait for it to load, enter your CTC — and get a result with no explanation of how it was calculated.
We built mycalcu.in because we got tired of that experience.
What mycalcu.in is
mycalcu.in is a free financial calculator platform built specifically for India. Every calculator is designed around how money actually works here — correct EPF rates, current tax slabs, HRA metro/non-metro rules, the Payment of Gratuity Act formula, and more.
All calculations happen in your browser. We don't store your numbers. We don't require an account. We don't show ads. We just give you a clear answer.
Our principles
- Accuracy first. Every formula is verified against official government sources. Tax slabs are updated every Union Budget.
- Honest about uncertainty. Market-linked returns (SIP, NPS) use adjustable sliders — we never show false precision on projections.
- Speed and simplicity. No login. No ads. No pop-ups. Results the moment you click Calculate.
- Privacy by design. All calculations run locally in your browser. We never see your financial data.
Who built this
mycalcu.in is built and maintained by an individual based in India — frustrated by the lack of good, honest financial tools for everyday Indians. This is not a venture-backed startup. It's a side project built with care.
Staying current
Tax slabs, government rates, and financial rules change. We update mycalcu.in after every Union Budget and whenever relevant rate changes are announced. Each calculator shows the financial year it applies to.
